In the early 1990's I had a profound spiritual experience that was a catalyst for movement

and change in my life. One Thursday morning I awoke by feelings drawing me to get in my truck and drive

over 450 miles into the west Texas desert into Big Bend national park. I found myself heading down a sandy, 4 wheel drive

road in the middle of nowhere. The whole time I kept asking myself, "What am I doing? This is nuts!"

Yet this feeling within was so strong and was calling me to go on.

So I continued on for miles down this back country desert road until I reached the Rio Grand river,

where I could go no further.

I got out of my truck looked up to the sky and asked why am I here?
